American literature, the fantastic in literature, fiction writing.
Professor Andriano has published two scholarly books
Of his several articles, the most significant are the oft-cited “The Handmaid’s Tale as Scrabble Game,” Essays on Canadian Writing 48 (1992); and “Race and Evolution in Moby-Dick,” ATQ 10.2 (1996). He has also published several short stories, most notably in The Chattahoochee Review, and has written a novel—a finalist in the New Century Writers’ Awards—which he is still attempting to sell. Andriano received the UL Lafayette Foundation’s Distinguished Professor Award in 1994.
