Sophomore Literature Course Descriptions
Each semester the English Department offers literature classes designed by professors to meet the General Education Literature requirement, but that are not traditional surveys of historical periods. These sections of ENGL 210, 211, and 212, focus on a particular theme, topic, or genre, and allow students to discover the joys and challenges of literary writing while also focusing on a topic in greater depth than the traditional historical survey allows. We encourage you to look over the course descriptions, see what might interest you, and sign up for one (or two!) that appeal especially to you. You can download the whole list in RTF format, for Summer 2016 or for Fall 2016.
Feel free to contact the instructors for more information regarding their courses.
